7 players turned out for breakfast followed by the golf which consisted of an 18 Hole Stableford competition for the Cawston Cup played from the white tees with full handicap allowance. This was played in fine, sunny weather with a testing 10 miles an hour breeze from the east. The easterly wind made the course more testing that it would in a prevailing westerly. David Dunn off a handicap of 20 won the trophy with 35 points. The course was in good condition. Chris Walker scored a spectacular eagle 2 at the 364 yard 9th. Positive comments on the day were received by the Match Manager from all OEGS participants.
