The draw for the inaugural Richard Day Singles Knockout has now been published.  Refer to Fixtures / Knockout Draw and Fixtures / Knockout Event Rules.

OEGS President, Chris Walker said: “We thought it would be a fitting tribute to dedicate this new event in memory of Richard Day (Gonville 1982-87), who sadly passed away in April 2021. Richard was a tremendous supporter and valuable committee member of the OEGS and a regular player in our Halford Hewitt team”.

The early rounds can be played anywhere but are most likely to be at the home club of one or other of the competitors. The semi-finals and final will be played at Rye GC on Saturday, 22nd October, this day being paid for by the (£10) entry fees and some subsidy from the OEGS.

The 2022 event will run from April through to late September.  Good luck to all those taking part.
