On a gloriously sunny day, the OEGS put out 6 players but unfortunately Lancing had a last minute drop out and so could only field 5 against us.  It was great to have Mike Hutchinson and Will Hawes playing in their first match for the OEGS.

Playing fourball match play, Lancing emerged the winners by 2 matches to 1.  David Burt and Mike Hutchinson lost by 5 & 4, Tony Dunn and Iryna Photiou lost by a more respectable 3 & 1whereas Will Hawes and Paul Wickman won by the considerable margin of 8 & 7 against Lancing’s captain, Charles Mackendrick, who played on his own.

This match used to be played at West Hill but West Surrey, David Burt’s own course, is now its home.
