We turned out with a team containing 2 new faces, namely Richard Apps and Ollie May, to face the might of Brighton, Lancing, and Hurstpierpoint at West Sussex – a wonderful early autumn day, at a wonderful golf course.  The format is scratch foursomes matchplay both morning and afternoon with a super lunch in between.

Hurstpierpoint emerged victorious over holders Brighton but only by the margin of one halved match.  That was the halved match that Tony Dunn and Chris Walker managed vs. Hurstpierpoint in the morning.  Otherwise, our pairings of Ollie plus Geoff Campbell and Richard plus Ben Twine fought hard but to no avail (except to have a great day’s golf).
