We are very sorry to report the sad news that fellow OEGS member Carl Spencer died recently.  Carl was best known as an extremely accomplished jazz musician and the leader of Spencer’s Washboard Kings which later became known as Spencer’s Nighthawks.  We shall of course remember him for his exploits on the golf course.  He supported many OEGS events over the years and regularly played for our Cyril Gray team from 1993 to his last appearance in 2011.

Carl’s funeral is at 2.15pm on 8th September 2023 at Hastings Crematorium, The Ridge, Hastings TN34 2AE but do please contact Carl’s wife Christine on 01424 223006 if you are thinking of attending.
