This year the team comprising Adrian Sharpin, Will Oates, Peter Walker, Harry Rimmer, Alex Rimmer and Jack Hughes travelled to Hunstanton to take on Sedbergh College in the first round (and hitting the opening tee shot) of the Grafton Morrish 2022.

The course was, as usual, in tremendous condition and the weather favourable. The opening pair of Adrian and Will succumbed 2&1 after a close battle. Peter and Harry fought out a well earned half in the second match. Sadly Alex and Jack faced tough opponents and lost 4 and 3. The loss by 0.5 to 2.5 meant that the team “qualified” to play in the Solihull Salver at Royal West Norfolk on the Saturday.

With all scores (scratch stableford) counting towards an overall total, the team put all their effort in trying to fill one of the top 4 spots that would qualify for the knockout stages on the Sunday. Sadly, the points amassed were not enough, and our tournament had come to an end.

Royal West Norfolk is an absolute gem of a golf course and the whole team thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The team would like to thank OE George Eve for his support and to Sarah Eve for making the team so welcome and comfortable in her cottage.
