We have had two very good victories recently, both at Rye: firstly 2-1 over Brighton with all matches going to the 18th green; secondly against King’s Canterbury by 6.5-3.5 over two rounds of foursomes.

We could not repeat our run in the 2021 Cyril Gray.  This time we lost to Fettes in the first round and then to Rossall in the first round of the plate.  But Worplesdon, as usual, was in fine condition and a joy to play.

Something like 16 OEGS members playing in the Foundation Golf Day at Royal Eastbourne on 7th July.  Out of the £20,000 raised, chiefly for a cricket scholarship, £1,000 will go towards supporting golf at the College.

The Richard Day Singles Knockout Tournament is progressing well towards its semi-finals and final at Rye on 22nd October.  All but two of the second round matches have been played, well ahead of schedule.
