Yet another match in this series which started in 1993 and, once again, a super day on the New Course at Walton Heath GC playing fourball better-ball matches.  Hurstpierpoint proved too strong for us, winning by 5 matches to 1.  The only victory for Eastbourne came courtesy of Ben Burrows and Colin Farrant. Our thanks to Hugh Price for managing the Eastbourne team and it was great to hear of Charlie Hobden and Joe Osborne making what I believe to be their debuts in an OEGS fixture.  The weather was good and the dinner excellent.  We have however come no closer to having any OE blazers to offset against the very brightly coloured Hurstpierpoint ones.
