The tournament at West Sussex involves teams of 6 playing scratch foursomes morning and afternoon with a superb lunch in between.  The teams as usual came from Brighton, Eastbourne, Hurstpierpoint and Lancing. Ben Burrows and Chris Walker were put out against very strong opposition (scratch and 1 in the morning, 5 and plus 1 in the afternoon) and “went down fighting”.  Team Captain Harry Rimmer and Peter Walker won both their matches.  Alex Rimmer and James Shore had 2 good matches but lost both times by 2 & 1.  Overall, Hurstpierpoint won from Brighton.  We came third and Lancing fourth.

Harry did an excellent job as Captain / Match Manager and it was great to see James Shore at an OEGS event.  The course was in excellent condition and the weather very good.
