An OEGS team recently took on the might of the Old Hurst Johnians at Walton Heath GC and, for the second year running, emerged victorious.

Hugh Price captained our team and masterminded the magnificent 3.5 to 2.5 victory.

There were wins for: Richard Apps and John Holland by 3 & 2, David Dunn and Colin Farrant by 3 & 1, and Hugh Price and Alex Photiou by 6 & 5.  Tony Dunn and Charlie Baddeley halved their match and there were losses, but only by 1 down, for Iryna Photiou and Mark Winstanley and also Paul Wickman and Gus Toomer.

We therefore retained ‘The Sussex Two Iron’ and duly celebrated this over dinner in the clubhouse.
