Hugh Price put together an excellent team of OEGS members to take on the might of Hurstpierpoint at Walton Heath on 17^th April.  The weather, the company and the food and drink were excellent.  And, what is relatively rare in this fixture that has now been played on 32 occasions, we emerged victorious, this time by 4 matches to 2.  Jeremy Waud, captain of the Hurst side and Vice-Captain of Walton Heath itself was gracious in defeat prior to handing over the “Sussex 2-iron” to Hugh at the excellent dinner that followed the golf.  It was great to have Iryna Photiou playing for us once again but her son Andreas also joined the team at relatively short notice – and they both won their respective matches.
